Promise a delivery date you can keep
Stop guessing at the counter. The Planning Board works out how long each stage of a job needs from the job itself, then schedules backwards from the customer's deadline to the day the work must reach the floor. If a date can't be met, JMS Cloud tells you the moment you commit, not in week three. The whiteboard can come down.
Know what every job really costs, while it's still on the bench
Your team clocks on and off against the job on a phone or tablet at the bench, and the hours land straight on the job record. No clock cards, no typing them up on Friday. It works with no signal, so a steel-framed workshop with patchy Wi-Fi still gets numbers it can trust. Time a job five times and you'll price the sixth from what it actually took. That is how margins go up.
Type the customer in once, and never again
A website enquiry becomes a lead, a customer, a quote in JMS 2D or 3D Pro, a project, a schedule, an invoice with reverse charge VAT worked out for you, and an export to Xero or Sage, without anyone retyping a thing. A two-bench workshop can trade to the standard a main contractor expects, with paperwork the contractor can file without asking questions.
New in the last twelve months
JMS Cloud is updated in small, frequent releases rather than once a year. Highlights from this year's entry:
- Reverse charge VAT, end to end. Contractor work invoiced correctly, with validated VAT numbers and the statutory wording on the printout.
- Offline production capture. Scan at the bench with no signal and it catches up when you reconnect.
- Operator timesheets. Breaks and overtime tracked automatically, overlaps prevented, work in progress visible live.
- One lead journey. Enquiries and opportunities in a single pipeline, with duplicate contacts spotted as you type.
- Customer statements. Outstanding invoices and balances printed from live data. The chasing spreadsheet can go.
- Audit log and permissions. Who did what and when, and control over who can move a job past a stage or delete a project.
- Rework by sub-item. Flag one leaf of a door set, not the whole job.
- Training built in. Video lessons inside the product, so the whole team learns it, not just the office.
